This Unbound Project allows voices and stories to be heard, and promotes a deeper understanding of the obstacles that so many of our neighbors face as they return to our communities [after incarceration].
Sometimes the Joy of Reentry Comes Slowly: Forty-seven Birthday Candles, written by me, is found among the diverse and brave collection in this display. Visit the library for viewing.

Through spoken monologues and music, I was one of eighteen presenters. Proceeds from event tickets go toward victims of domestic abuse and support causes to end violence against women and girls.

It was an evening of entertainment in the performing arts by area poets, authors, storytellers, and musicians who brought us 1920’s jazz. I shared with a reading from the last few pages of Part 1 in my memoir, Out of Chaos.
